When I am choosing the unit, i went to the construction site and found the same problem as you. So finally i chose a corner unit (inside one) hoping to have better views compared with those units sandwiched. And I think if your is at 3rd level and above, it should be no problem while TOP, after all, this is a 5 storey building...

I have checked with the construction worker at the site, being told that they will get everything done by this Dec. So TOP time may be 2 months later?

So, the TOP should be sometimes in January next year, or even earlier...

If you wait until you can touch, see and feel the unit, prices will have shoot up. Buy based on plan is cheaper.

Not really, these days those first off the plan buyers without holding power actually lose money or just break even with developer price. If 99 LH like Clementiwoods wait a few years and prices may even come down. Go see propertyguru listings for Clementiwoods, the term firesale is used alot there.

It is in the West, which is generally less desirable than the East, it is LH, it is lowrise, it is not near MRT, not to talk down about the development but maybe you should tell me whether you think the price will go up.

i think you can compare the rental of neighbourhood Varsity park with those properties in east area with similar sale price and then it's not too late to reach a conclusion. Although it is not next to MRT, it is stone away from NUS, Japanese school, shopping mall, wet market, and the one-north research hub is not far away as well. Good Location does NOT equal to 200m to MRT station.
Finally, to me, low-rise is the FIRST reason why I choose this project... As for LH, I accept it, cos it will be 100 psf higher if it is FH.

Well it is personal choice, yes some people do like low rise, if you like your property just live with it.

Nope, nvr thot it would go up ... but from the recent caveats, it does appear that in the near term, should still be quite steady ... well, at least for my fren who bout thru sub-sale in late 2007, he didn't lose $$ ...

(personally, wont fancy this one though)

Who told you lowrise is not desirable? Lowrise and 99LH got better chance of enbloc than FH, highrisk.

My dear, does not mean lowrise means easy to enbloc, CW is probably built to the max already, even though it is lowrise, so how to enbloc in future unless plot ratio is revised, ie. allow you to build high rise.

Why is it high risk to enbloc freehold?

I didn't say risky to enbloc FH, read carefully. I only say the changes of enbloc for 99LH is higher than FH for obvious reason which I will not go into. So open your eyes big-big and read again.

Hmmm wonder what the construction worker can give you the whole picture They could be just responsible their own area of work in completing the exterior. The interior of each unit would probably need another 1 -2 month? And I heard after every thing completed, BCA need to test and give the cert.... Maybe this part, some professionals can give your input.... It should easily need another 2 months?

Never been inside... but I guess items like closets, kitchen cabinets, flooring etc should be done by other contractors.

Why no brainer??? Most of other FH nearby (spectrum for e.g) are either near to road junction or no amenities nearby (Balmeg for e.g).

HDB is not near lar, you try walking there then tell me. It is a least one to two bus stop away. How can HDB be same price as private? If same price would you still buy HDB???????? Forget about amenities even for rental which FH there is closer to NUS than CW? If you are a NUS student or Prof would you rent one on clementi road side or PP side which is all FH??????? Not to mention one north, Japanese sch etc which one is nearer.
