    Hi there,

Really? Looking forward to get our keys by Dec08. I think I will do something simple. I had spend about 80K to renovate my current HDB executives 10 years ago as It was my first home. But I don't think I will not spend much this round. I will likely convert one room into a study/relax room. Put in a massage chair, a cross trainer and etc. Really look forward to shift you ASAP.

Yes. I have two boys. Both in the primary school. They are also very excited about it. I bought them to the show flat last sunday. But unable to take a peek on the surrounding as the windows were all blocked. Have a good honeymoon in TQ on dec08. Cheers.

    Hi Happy,

So you still have not ROM yet? I'm just one step above you. have ROM but have not gone thru customary yet. What do you think of hacking 2 room into one? but wardrobe already done up. Not sure whether to have it tear down since my first house is also a walk in wardrobe. In a dilemma.

this is my 1st home.. i also have no idea on renovation.

why dun you get your key already. then go seesee and feel it 1st before u make up ur decision?

i trust u got floor plan right? u can make many copies and start drawing on them.

i think seeing and feeling it before u make a decision is more safer. compare to drawing on paper.

any other owners plan to do the same?? as in tear down 1 room? maybe can discuss with us here.

buying a property changed my lifestyle so much.

now dare not anyhow spent $$$... can feel the pressure.

suddenly i feel my parents are so cool cuz they actually work hard and paid off the house so that we have a roof over our head.

    solute to papa n mama~

btw, Lacasa n The Quintet are selling at 605k ~ 680k.
that make me feels that the quartz is so much better as its private.

~ Mummy with 2 lovely boys, ur unit is facing where?
    ~ LA how about urself?

Mine is blk 63. I've got a gd contractor. He has been renovating my shops, customer houses n shops n everybody gives a thumbs up for him. What i like about him is he do not brag like most contractors n is v honest. But he is defintely not a yes man. We tell him wat we want n he shares his views with us. No prob for after service. He will make sure he sits thru the whole project. he has been my contractor for around 4 yrs.
But renovating a house & buying funiture are all v costly. Do more homework b4 investing ur $$ in. Don't buy furnitures or electronic stuff b'cos of sales talk. All sales person will always make their product sound best

    b&w = black & white
I personally go for lifestyle. so always feel that a house shld hv a theme. my first home is a white contempto theme. from the living hall/bedroom/kitchen, all the colours & furniture blend in as a them.
This is personal preference. So just sharing how I feel.
Happy: take your time to think of a theme since still quite some time to go.

    Hi Happy,

My unit is facing tennis court too. Yes. Buying a property is a long term investment. All unnecessary expenses, shopping, movies must be reduced. (Less outing, save $$$$, and stay inside to enjoy the facilities) Looking forward to see you all.

Normally mid year furniture will b slightly cheaper incomparison to year end. Depending whether aiming for high or low end furniture, places & prices varies. Contractors at Expo are bloodsuckers.. Better to look for those that are recommended by friends and relatives.. Ask around lah, should be able to get a good one.
