    Default Hillview 128

Recently, there are quite a few units selling at Hillview 128. It's 999 years. Not sure whether it is worth consider. The place looks nice, however, there is an open area diagionally may be some constructions coming up soon. and the next door is a factory. Neay opinions?

True but a 3 bdr only costs about $660k, it is FH and a condo, with facilities which I feel represents much better value than you own nothing, leased HDB.

As regulators says it is neither here nor there, but to me, at that price, and good facing, it is a hidden gem.

Thanks for the feedback. It's just that some units around that around cost higher and the new ones just one to two street away cost about $1000 - $1100 psf. Do you think that the factory beside will go? Kewalra Hillview....... If so, there will be construction going on....

I do not know if there will be any construction going on, but if it does, it will be temporary and the value will go up after that, also from what I saw, the units are inward facing, so would not face the construction site directly.

if u nd advice for that area, try to look for an old condo in toh tuck area. The area near the shoppng belt n futre mrt is a gem. If u observe the masterplan, the boundary for Central Region stretches to that bt timah shoppng centre area (whch i thought was rather absurd) but there is a reasn why that is so and why condos like garden vista, jardin n floridian etc are priced above 1100psf when they r so darn far frm the city.

Thanks for all the comments. There are time for me to look around. It is better to do more research and planning before making a decision. after all, we are talking about half a million and more.

The signs in other forums talking about property market in Singapore is not so positive. Will continue to look for a good home.

Vista park is also another interest apartment. Kimis Lodge I remember that I seen at least 4 years back, a little to out of the way unless there is a car for transportation.

    Hi ipspassion

presume that the new ones you mentioned is hill-vista. Just like to comment its true FEO is selling the remaining 20 odd units at 1100 plus spf but 2nd resale mkt price is 950 psf or so.. Just my personal observation..

This condo was recently repainted and looks less than 5 yrs old though it was TOP in 2001-2002. 90odd units very relax and serene. Good for those who treasure quietness and privacy. The swimming pool was hardly use having visited a few times even on weekends. Price have increased quite a bit ranging 850psf onwards. Anyone has comments on the potential here

It's always interesting reading the old posts. Had the threadstarter bot the 3-bedder at $660k ($600psf?) in Sep 2009, he would have made very good returns within 1 year.

Hillview 128 is one of the lousier devts at hillview. Very concrete like kind of atmosphere. I would prefer Hilltop Grove or Merawoods instead

Personally it feels more clean and neat-feel. Older proj with too much landscape may not be well-maintained. Also cost of landscaping translate to higher monthly fee. 1bedder at hillview ht monthly oredi $250. Factor in mosquito breeding possibility family with kids may not like

Any reason why u only like Hillview 128? I notice the units are smaller format compared to other Hillview condos. Is that the reason? The rest of the Hillview condos maintenance charges are not much higher than 275 for a larger 3 bedder.

Prefer proj on hill so can get the nice hill view but realize too high up oso hard to walk up esp for old folks. Hillview 128 jus nice away fr main road and not so high up. Also backgate access directly to busstop bus 173 jus a few step away which can take u to future hillview mrt and terminate at bt batok mrt. The warehouse beside could oso be amalgamated for redev potential
