Haha, I recently contributed to a subsale here at 8@Woodleigh too...

Too early for the caveat to be lodged yet, it would probably come out some time later

Thanks, glad to see that this thread remains pleasant and informative. Wouldn't like to see it degenerate into flaming and name-calling, which is prevalent in some other threads in this forum..

Great work with the constant photo updates too!

    Hi there too!

But no, that's not mine... caveat really wouldn't be lodged so soon. OTP exercised only in late Jan 2011

Owners and supporter of 8@woodleigh, would like your views on tis project VS the condo beside- Blossoms which is by Allgreen, FH, price almost same or about $100psf higher only. I was at friend's place over weekend, unit on #09' facing the upcoming American school, but slightly further from the Woodleigh MRT station. Quite windy, unblocked view, nearest condo in sight from my friend's house is the Avon Park condo.

Wondering if want to invest, whether to buy the completed,FH Blossoms or the upcoming 8@woodleigh which is slightly nearer to the MRT. Thanks in advance for your views.

Guess it depends on the 2 points that you raised :-
    1. Is FH more important than LH99 and worth the $100psf premium for a resale over BUC?
    2. Is 100m more walking distance to MRT acceptable? As some will even consider 200m walking distance as far.

From the postings on the thread so far, some of the reasons are :-
    1. The location feels right and within a cluster of private developments
    2. Near HDB amenities
    2. Prefer New to resale
    3. Closeness to MRT Stations
    4. Well thought layouts
    5. Reputation of developer
    6. Any other points from fellow 8@W owners?

Yup, anything earlier than the MainCon completion date of 27 June 2012 will be a bonus!

For me, invest mean chance of capital appreciation and decent rental yield. Of course, new condo 8@Woodleigh, nearer to MRT may be easier to rent out to expat, but would be make a really bigger difference since Blossom is 3-4 yrs older by the time 8@woodleigh TOP and 100-200m further to MRT? Then agains, if want to rent out to expat, would MRT matter since perhaps majority of expat may have a car.

Owners and supporters of 8@woodleigh, did u take Blossoms into consideration b4 u commit?

Actually, I'd noticed a lots of foreigners walking to the private developments there from the MRT Stn and most cars are driven by locals coming in/out, whenever I ran there in the evening.
