I actually build a bed on the bay window. The bottom of the bed will be cabinets. Maybe the ID photo is clearer..Originally Posted by shespawn
Actually I went through all the options with my ID. Below is some of his comments. Just share share....Originally Posted by Daniel Foo

If you do a writing table or desk, you need to make sure that there is enough space for you to open or close the window. Else must climb table everytime.
Seems like the bay window in CM is big enough to do the whole bed on it (which is what I'm thinking of doing"). So this may save more space then just putting the head rest on the bay window. Anyway for both option, it is pretty expensive and you need to customise the bed.
Or you could go to www.renotalk.com forum to see the latest reno ideas. I spend lots of time there during the design stage for my place...
Bro, good pointers.Originally Posted by hkching
Incidently you mentioned "Seems like the bay window in CM is big enough to do the whole bed on it "===> your sure "boh" bay window can put the whole bed in?? Baby bed izzit..ha ha
Even for the windows, one of my friend staying in other condos mentioned that if you put a sun protection film like "V-kool" stuff for cars, your room will not be that warm or hot even if your unit is West sun facing.
The UV films basically blocks the ray from entering your units. Anyone has done such stuff for their unit? Care to comment?
good news. i just letter to pay maintenance too!!Originally Posted by hkching
congrats to you too!!
hkching, doragirl, i just checked - after the maintenance fee has been cleared, you can go ahead to call casa merah side to arrange for appt to collect keys. i just called and the earliest appt date is this friday 3pm. so i guess the waiting time isn't that long!
a surprising thing i just discovered is that the 6 months maintenance starts from 15 days from lawyer's letter to take property, or date of key collection, whichever is earlier. which meant mine started back on 2 Sept already!

You never heard of Optima? I think just not only CM owners have been informed, half of Singapore knows that too.Originally Posted by kokonut

Those marked with orange color is publicly accessible. Many are at T3. And more public F&B outlets coming up @ T1 too. You have to be there a few times to appreciate it. And most of them are 24h.Originally Posted by Daniel Foo

Receiving letter to collect the keys will take around 18 days. I got my key on Sept.7. I am living at stack 2. I have nice view of children pool, main pool and noblocking changi coast line. For security reason, I want to install grille, but recommended one by management team is very ugly. Already wrote a feedback letter to them. It seams there is a lot of restriction for window films and grille.Originally Posted by hkching
CM adopt open concept, even male/female toilets near function room no door installed for shower room.
Length wise can put whole bed. Width wise only 30%. The other 70% have to be custom build lor... But the bottom of the 70% will be used as cabinets... Hope this is clear enough...Originally Posted by Daniel Foo
I don't intend to use films as my unit is south facing... I've been to my place at different time and from the outside seems like wun kena any sun... so no intention...
Airport has been my favourite outing place for the last few years... my kid absolutely love it... Big open space, quiet, and good food...Originally Posted by jitkiat

From the URA masterplan, it has been stated clearly its a residential development many many years before... I think buyers who did a little research will get some ideas even before buying...
Anyone with pictures of the recommended window grille? Can post here? As for the toilet, I can understand if no main door to the toilet but no door also for the shower? Strange.

My old condo also didn't have doors to individual shower rooms.. what's the big deal? Condo swimming pools aren't the same as public swimming pools.. get this straight.Originally Posted by doragirl
Condo swimming pools - most residents will shower at home.. where got time to go to the common toilet to shower??
Public swimming pools - bo bian.. house so far away, need to shower at common toilet among strangers..
Maybe is to discourage "unauthorised" ppl from swimming there?

My current condo has doors for shower, same for parent's condo in the west, my sibling's condo in hillview estate. Your old condo is indeed special and open-minded.
