Envy sia....
Envy? aiyo the view so congested all blocks facing so close and claustrophobic, like staying in HDB, no privacy at all, the only good stacks are those facing the MRT but those units will soon be blocked by Optima but luckily too, as you can hear the announcements and the too too too sound from the balcony. The stacks facing landed property get afternoon sun, all those facing inside are blocked.
Tanamera Crest units facing south east, landed property has spectacular views and face the sea breeze all year round with no blockage, can see airplanes taking off in the distance from dining table having meals and hear birds in the morning really serene and tranquil living, I am now so sad after selling my unit.
Hey Xebay11, welcome... to the threadOriginally Posted by xebay11
Can share which stack you are on?
Just curious why you sell if Tanamera Crest seemed like a perfect home to you.

u made the right move to sell as Tanah Merah Crest is basically crap project. It is way too deep inside. Neither here nor there. 15 mins walk to MRT I think.Originally Posted by xebay11
You need to drive up a slop passing some old landed houses and down the valley again to reach the main entrance of the development. Also it is located beside a HDB flat, so no privacy.

Depends on the facing man, mine is wonderful with plenty seabreeze unmatched by any.Originally Posted by Daniel Foo
The slope is gentle and if you go down the valley you missed the turn. It is also a nice shady walk and there is a short cut through the small walk up apt development.
I won't want to go on about lots of privacy sitting in the balcony with about one hundred other units looking at you.
I used to like CM until I saw the propertyguru pics, even the shower windows are transparent.

To be honest, this is the weakness of CM. But nothing is perfect. Consider view of blocking, Stack 39,40,5,6,1,2 is betterOriginally Posted by xebay11
well said. beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so as long as us owners like it and buy it, enuff said
doragirl, hkching - you haven't received your letters for paying maintenance fee yet? or paid liao and still waiting for key collection notice?

For toilets certainly I will simply block it with one layer of film. I think that should not be a problem. How about other rooms like living and bed rooms?
Nothing really, except use timber blinds for rooms, for living room plant lots of plants in the balcony.Originally Posted by xubingtao
Just received news that the letter will be sent to my lawyers on 10 Sept.. finally .....Originally Posted by hkching
Actually I like the transparent windows in the bathroom. Because of it's design, the master bedroom light will not go into the bathroom. Therefore, more lights can come into the toilet. Will be doing up timber blinds for toilet and will open it when not in use.Originally Posted by xubingtao
For film, you do need to find out if it will cast your shadow on it at night when the light is on.
Living room will just do curtains. Bedroom should be roman blinds.
Its a balance between privacy on one hand, windy and light on the other hand..
congrats bro! wait any further, your neck will be too long to go into the apartment man...haha.
you don't mind getting the keys during 7th month eh? i am now waiting out the 2 more weeks. just to appease the older folks.

Just to check, you collected the keys liao? How long between settling the money and receiving the keys?
Any CM owners being informed of potential sea facing units (south facing) and eventually having another development in front of it?

For the bay window area for all the bedrooms, what is your suggestion. The default is concrete with a white layer of paint for Casa Merah.Originally Posted by hkching
I saw some condo showroom and interior magazines for bay windows, they typically make:-
1) marble on top of the bay window concrete.
2) make some cushion or couch material on top of bay window area whereby you can sit, relax & read book. Pros & cons?
3) put a glass on top to be improvised as a study table
4) make a customised bed wherby the bed head rest area can levrage and rest on the bay window. This would maximise & make the bedroom look bigger. This is the trick most condominium showroom do to create a spacious room.
Also is having mirrors in the living room or dinning area still the in thing now?
This would create a 3D mirror image of the living room & make the unit more roomier.
What would be the best option? Any suggestions from budding ID's in this forum?![]()

for bay window, you can also tile up the side walls with cushion so that when you read a book there, you be more comfortable. saw it in some ID magazine, it gives the whole room a cosy feeling.Originally Posted by Daniel Foo
