    Default Demystify Fengshui

Found some good articles on property fengshui at

In fengshui, sometimes they will refer to right side of your house as White Tiger, left side as Green Dragon, back as Turtle, front as Bird. This may sound mystical. In actual fact, this may have its origin from China's geograhy. To the east of China is the ocean (so green dragon). To the west of China is underdeveloped highlands (where you can find tiger). South of China has warmer climate with life in abundance (symbol is Bird). North of China is cold (=Siberian wind, symbol is Turtle).

A lot of fengshui can actually be explained in a practical/scientific manner. More importantly, it must be considered in conjunction with the personal character, health, mental conditions of whoever living in the house. For example, if a timid person lives in the house, choose a house with more sunlight and paint the wall with brighter/lively colors. If a stressful person lives in the house, avoid direct sunlight, noise, odd-shape room and paint the walls with more calming colors.

Let's keep this thread alive to share more with each other.

Yeap, heard of this ... it's supposed to be a fundamental 'theory' in FS. There is a chinese saying: zhuo Qing-Long, you Bai-Hu, qian Zhu-Que, hou Suen-Wu ... actually these are the four sacred objects. Perhaps, these are to be seen as the front (fire pheonix), left (green dragon), right (white tiger) and back (turtle) .... not exactly viewed N-S-E-W. Just trying to imagine this being used on China ....
