too bad, i cannot share the happiness. it was a nice project and nrly bot a 2+study unit there(if i am not wrong, can convert to 3bedder by reducing the living rm space). i was hesitating den one day later, my unit was taken

Its really personal for house preference. A good point to one may turn out to be totally no-no to another.

Anyway, for me personally, it was being windy as the main consideration that I chose 03 stack. Other people may totally dislike it being windy and hence will never it.

Thks BIC. I have not tested the video function, only the audio.

I am getting my contractor to shift it to the main passageway as i do not like its current location on the TV wall.

    Hi devilplate,

    Thanks.

Some people buy a Home (for own stay) and some buy a House (for investment). So the requirement is very different. As long as they are happy, to each his own!!

    Have a nice day. Cheers.

Is hanging clothes outside the balcony area allow? It is certainly not going to be a pleasant view if this is not control. And I even saw one resident from Versillia installed a clothes hanging rack protruding outside his balcony..

Why not? If it's the most effective way of drying clothes. Eco friendly as well

    Welcome to this thread.

Are you an unit owner in Versilia as well.

    Which stack is your unit?

hopefully, this also reflects the good neighbourliness in time to come when residents settle down in Versilia.

Devilplate, you never thought of making an offer for a resale unit?

    Hi,

Was at the site last evening to check on the progress of my reno.

Wow, can see pple swimming in the pool and doing laps. Anyone of you guys swimming there yesterday evening???

Saw a caucasion in the carpark and guess he must be a sub-tenant in Versilia. Wondering what would be the make-up of the occupants when fully occupied. Still not many units being occupied at the moment though.

    Cheers.

    Default Flood Flood everywhere!!

    Hi,

Have you seen the half-submerged car in a condominium in Bukti Timah on the front page of the Sunday Times today. WOW!!!

Looks like this problem is here to stay and will only get worse.

Thank goodness Versilia had multi-storey carpark and even the ground floor carpark is slightly elevated. Who knows one day, such floods will hit our area too (touch wood). But we can still sleep in peace.

Looks like we can charge a premium for our property for having multi-storey carpark. Had preferred to stay in a property with basement carpark initially, but looking at the situation, it could be a blessing.

    Cheers!!

Tanjong Katong Road was a flood prone area when I was a student there. But it has been many years, have not heard of floods there now. Was there any in the area recently?

Yup, Tanjong Katong used to be flood prone but thought part of it was also affected by yesterday rainfall, or was that closer to the Mounbatten side?

The water seems to move elsewhere nearby...Joo Chiat and Telok Kuaru reported incidents yesterday morning.

It should be along Crescent Road as reported.

Looks like the possibility of being flooded is a important consideration before making that big purchase....

Imagine those staying in landed and have their place flooded!!

Worse than having a carpark flooded.

One household had their fishes from their fish pond swimming into their living room.

    This is bad....real bad!!!

Actually, I really suspect the floods are occuring due to the massive construction islandwide. No matter how, construction work will introduce stuff (such as sand, metal, etc) into the drains and choke it. At most of the flooded areas, there are new and there are either new developments (less than 1 year TOP) or construction in progress very nearby.

Then someone will pay for it in Monetary sense! Knowing our garment, if trace and conclude "abc" is responsible for the choking of drain resulting in these floods, then this company can prepare to file for chapter 11 cos they would be bill the full cost of the damage both intrinsic / extrinsic . But, if the responsible company is a .gov then ........ you know.... really.... this's a unfortunate case of natural disaster, aka "act of god"

    Hi Mezo,

Are you using silver 50? Do you find 55% heat rejection good enough? May I know whom did you engage to do the solar film?

    Thanks!

i installed the best grade branded solar flim and my car still feels damn HOT

True the best is not to face West Sun at all, or use solid shades but then it will be stuffy and dark.

I finally chose the silver 50. Just installed few days ago but i have not moved in and thus unable to comment on its effectiveness.

I got my contact through the ST classifieds. The company is in Kitchener Rd. U can contact Stella at 67474159.

I did my blinds and curtain with them too.

    Hello All,

Can i know what is Versilia annual value for property tax roughly?

heard it is around $25-30K per annual from a friend. Do you think this is reasonable and any grounds for filing objection to this?
