Alot of ppl complain abt their units at one amber wat

And recently got one guy complain abt his soleil

Most developments got like 300 units to 800 units.

If 10% of them got defects, that makes it 30 to 80 units.

If half of them complain online, that is a lot. 15 to 40 complaints and we will perceive as that development sucks. And add on those sour grapes, we have many many complaints.

In actual fact, every development will have defects. That is why we have 1 year to make sure the developer rectify it.

Lots of defects upon receiving keys

but they are just common aesthetic ones. like paint, the flooring (just need them to polish again). at least my unit was fine.

normally if these are asethetics issues, people normally wouldn't say cos these can be rectified quite easily.

i have a friend at esta who said his unit has a smell as well. but not sure whether it's just his unit or otherwise?

i or 2 complains in this forum ..we would take it as the owner 'sway'..kna bad units ..

The Seaview MC has filed in the Court details of the claim...I believe if it is not settled out of court, then u hv more juicy stories to talk about if it is in the news.

Not all units are affected by the smell..or the flies...there are many lovely units there...

Minor issues can bitch in public. Major issues better to keep quiet as they will serious impact resale prices ....?

i am sure thats why its another Class 95 ... only the good stuff ... and we dont ever hear the bad ....

makes me wonder how good/reliable info is in this forum ..

perhaps thats why we dont see its psf going too high , compared to Aalto ..(not that i like aalto)

If for common areas, can owners report? and who do they report to?

Its prices are quite respectable compared to other condos around it. Cote d'Azur prices are lower even if it has sea view and is right next door to PP.

Not enough to account for the significant price difference, not to mention Silversea is 99LH too. Perhaps some issues with CdA that we don't know. Hear the MC quite unpopular ...

I find many construction workers here lack a sense of pride.You can have the best architects to design the nicest buildings but if the workers that build them are substandard and not well supervised, the result will be crappy.

After viewing the 1518 sqf and 1647 sqf units, I have decided to stop looking at this project as the layouts are not to my taste...

But I must say the common facilities and landscaping is of good standard, hopefully they can maintain it.

As all of us know, whenever there is a pending court case, u check with anyone involved...they will say no comment, or in the process of investigation...so...ru saying all these people are dishonest as well?

This is their closed door issues, to what extent they wish to share is their rights. SPs of The Seaview shall not be accused of being dishonest. In fact, we shall thank them to expose such issues to the public.

Being an outsider, we shall not be so critic to the extent of saying the quality and integrity of the forumers here.

If I tell u, yes, I own / owned units (ie more than one) in The Seaview, I stay in The Seaview, and I have full access to all the claim reports, do u think u can believe me?

this issue came to light only this week ..

I think the MCST was formed in Aug or Sept 2009. The investigation was started then. Only till last year around 3Q 2010, the MC had the approval from the Second AGM to go ahead with a full extent of investigation and taking legal action.

The estate is big, they need time to investigate the problems. eg, to engage professionals like lawyers, QS and ME, to sue the Developer and the main con is alr not an easy task. Who wants to go against the big boys in the market?

As to the buyers of The Seaview, as a standard market practice, u buy at own risk. Even u buy a fish in the market and it is not fresh, what can u do?

The MC has already informed public rather than hiding the ugly facts. If u assess the timing, they have done a great job that within a very short span of time.

I give them the due credit.

i have nothing against the project .. i said more than once its a nice condo ..

i am still disappointed that from TOP to 3Q2010 when the full investigation started ..no one would shed light on whats going on ...

if i go to the mkt an buy a fish ..and its rotten ... i think i can nail the fishmonger for selling rotten fish ...

to some extend .. yes .. even buying a new car ..one can never be sure it would be a perfect car ..

but car owners will also give opinion the good and bad of it ..

somehow .. we cannot find one single post on 'leakage' 'seepage' 'foul smell' on Seaview

we see 'foul smell' about Punggol ..etc .. not Seaview ..

I think The Seaview SPs will be very happy for u NOT TO BE their neighour as ur too critic

or perhaps, they will be very happy u be their neighour and be part of the MC...so u can understand their position and problems better.
