Travel up a bit more u will find many more interesting eateries along tanjong katong road ... punggol nasi lemak (forever long queue), Fa Qi ren bakuteh, Penang food, Thai food, Medan food, porridge and award winning ice cream outlets ......

Aston and fei fei where got nice? Aston is cheap and that is where it draws the crowd. Not because it is nice. Fei fei is over-rated. Since 5 years ago, already no nice.

It's very difficult to find good peranankan food in Spore, so whenever I have the craving I will cook it myself.
Have you tried Guan Hoe Soon restaurant in Joo Chiat Place? The peranakan buffet at Feast@East Buffet Restaurant, Hotel Mercure
is also quite nice but they don't have it year round, only during promotional period.

Yes. they are nearer to the Suites@Katong side ..... In fact, many new interesting eateries have sprouted along Tj Katong road.... I just realised the Yan Ji minced pork noodle was replaced by the not-so-nice prata...
