my own sense is expat families looking to stay around here will probably go for the tropica or aquarius by the park, due to the huge pools, space and proximity to the reservoir.

Yes. Also the 4th Singapore Uni and alot of banks moving their operations to Changi. I feel the rental demands will go up in Simei/Tampines.

I have a friend staying in AQBP. He mentioned that the units facing reservoir are noisy due to main road in front.

In fact, most of the properties have this problem - if you want panoramic sea view or lake view, you have to endure the ECP/road noise. Only Tropica is one of the few in SG, can allow you to enjoy both the beautiful view and serenity, with reasonable price!

I visited one uint AQBP, view is nice, but the bus stop noise is really killing. so end up we chose The Tropica!

Only thing is - there are too limited units are selling in Tropica!

nice view, stunning. Sure will fetch good price. If 3 bedders are selling at 900k+, 4 bedders will soon hit 1m!!

there's more buyer resistance for 4brs as some families may not need 4brs and maintenance is higher.

but this situation is perfect for you since you own a 3br. so snag a 4br at blk 57 then sell ur 3br.

i oso on the lookout for 4brs in block 57.. kekeke..

I will take Tropica's stunning reservoir view at even 800psf compared to Minton's 912psf anytime. In the eastern part of Singapore, after the seaview in Marine Parade, the lakeview at Bedok Reservoir is unique and hard to find.

    Hi,

Any idea how big is the land size of The Tropica? I understood from Minton's agent that the land size is approx 44ha and it is housing 1100+ units.. wont it be crampy.. highest floor is 17 floor if me dont remember wrongly.

Considering between buying new and old.. hehehe

Minton is 1100 units for 500k sqft = 454sqft ppr per unit.

Tropica is 537 units for 375604sqft = 699sqft ppr per unit.

but go with your feel, not w the stats.

Just back from Japan after 2-weeks holiday . Finally got time to visit this forum. And guess what? I saw a couple of squirrels outside my window on Sunday morning! How good life is in Tropica!

BTW, we pay $898.8 every 3 mth - nice figure, isn't it?
That means every mth is $299.6 only hehehe

I would say the same thing. The only thing I like about the Minton is its library!!! Wondering whether Tropica can accommodate a library? even just some reading corner with magazines and newspaper stand will be nice... nicer if ariconed... hmmm....

am I daydreaming here? Will someone consider bringing that up at next AGM?
