    Haha, seems that I am not alone visiting Mezzo site.....

    4th flr almost done and preparation work on 5th flr yesterday (10 Sep). Progress is getting faster (if not wrong think only took 3 weeks to complete 4th flr)

    Bought stack 1 for own stay and probably will see some of you one day.

    Is so far only 10% loan is released? Thought it should release up to 20% as the reinforcement structural work is done?

    Ask for money later better for us, haa haa. Just hope that it will TOP by end of 2011 as stated in their report.

    Quite likely the current instalment will triple/quadruple once it reaches your floor. Anyway need to pay sooner or later.

    -current 10%, plus
    -reinforcement work 10%, plus
    -wall and ceiling 5%+5%, plus
    -carpark and 7th floor facility (another 10%?)

    Just wondering, is the main pool 50m long? I did not ask when I bought...hee hee.

    Unlikely. I think it is about 30m only. I didn't ask the agent but roughly based on the floor plan that I got. The width is about 10m. So multiply by 3 (stack 1,2 and 6) should be about 30m.

    Anyway hope it is not too narrow.

    Does anyone know the ceiling height? Agent told me is abt 2.9m. Just want to confirm.

    For the commercial space on the 1st 2 storeys, is it only meant for offices, and not for retail business?

    The agents also inform that the ceiling for the units is at 2.9meters.

    I strongly believe that Mezzo located Balestier side and Moulmein road side is one of most underassessed area in S'pore.

    CDC is taking up quite huge size of land in Prime and sooner or later it will be moved away by government will.

    Today walked pass Mezzo site. Spoke to one of the supervisors there (white helmet) and surprisingly found out they are now building level 6 (initially thgt was 5th)!

    He also said it will TOP end 2011 (but at this rate, I personally think could be as early as 3Q11 since the residential floor is only half of the size of the carpark)

    Next time if any of you manage to pass by, can try to chat with the supervisors there as they speak good english

    SINGAPORE : Mainboard-listed property developer Soilbuild Group on Tuesday said it has received an offer from investment firm Dolphin Acquisitions valued at S$418 million to privatise the company and to delist it from the Singapore Exchange.

    Dolphin Acquisitions, a company controlled by Soilbuild's group managing director Lim Chap Huat, has offered to acquire Soilbuild's shares at 80 cents a piece from its shareholders.

    The offer price represents an attractive premium of 13.48 per cent based on its last traded price of 70.5 cents last Friday.

    In a joint statement on Tuesday, the companies said "the delisting will allow more flexibility to manage and develop the businesses of Soilbuild and strategic initiatives, pursue business and investment opportunities, optimise the use of resources and facilitate the implementation of any strategic initiatives and/or operational changes."

    In addition, the circular added that the exit offer would allow Soilbuild to dispense with listing related expenses and channel its resources to its business operations.

    Mr Lim holds a 52.5 per cent direct stake in Soilbuild.

    The company has already received irrevocable undertakings from several shareholders with a combined stake of 73.09 per cent who will vote in favour of the delisting resolution at the upcoming extraordinary general meeting.

    Among those that have given their irrevocable undertaking is the company's non-executive chairman Fong Ying Wah.

    Soilbuild's principal activities are in the development of residential and purpose-built business space properties in Asia.

    dont think it is for office only. should be fr both retail and office like beauty world plaza. I have a friend has a office and tell me that there are several level should be used for office only. But some owner rent it for "retail" biz like massage shop...

    That's disappointing. Agent told me it is meant for offices. Need to get consent from residents if converts to retail space

    This need the effort of everyone here. Call the police when we see any this type of shop appear. Once the first one start, the rest will be coming and hard to stop them...I really dont want see a lot of weird ppl in the building while my wife and kids get affected....

    haha, don't worry.....balestier is pretty safe

    maybe can confirm with developer what is the use of the commercial space. Think there must be a diff between retail and office space.

    Went over there for lunch.

    So got some photo of the construction.

    Accordingly to the "white" hat, they are currently building 6th Floor.

    As the HDB opposite only has 19 floors, might need to hire a helicopter to take the top view one day
