today i just saw some monkeys on the overhead bridge crossing over into the sembawang hills estate! the "do not feed the monkey" sign is really working. now the monkeys are literally going all out to source for their food.

Thomson grand's billboard is helping to illuminate upper thomson road. Lol.

By the way, since they put up the don't feed monkey sign, those monkeys have been more adventurous, and they're not just hiding in old upper Thomson road. Heh.

My kids Chinese tutor used to live in the condo before it was sold to UOL. In the tall block that has been "refurbished". Didn't hear of anything from her or the kids.

A friend used to live in green meadows, before it got en bloc ed. He loved it.

As for those landed houses facing the woods. All looks occupied so I guess they think it is ok.

    Default Fences - Meadow@pierce

I had wrote into UOL on the fence, here is our correspondence. Just want to share and see how you guys feel about this...

    Dear Audrey,
I was at the site on Wednesday and indeed there is a small security breach at a small section of the fence. We are in the process of rectifying it. I have also checked on the original security intend in regards to securing the boundary fence from external intrusion and am glad to inform you that the installation of the CCTV cameras for the said purposes is in accordance to the design requirement by our Consultants.

Thank you for informing us on the breach and I apologise for the late response to your mail.

    Warm regards,
    Kwan

    Anthony,

I am one of the owners that bought a property in the above development under UOL.
My family went to the site to look at the construction recently, one of the main concerns is that the surrounding fence not only looks cheap but also seems to be easily open with simple tool.
Last weekend, my husband and I saw the workers open the fence on the slope along Yio Chu Kang to transfer the plant into/ out the compound. Our house just located down the slope on the ground floor, this gives us creepy feeling on the compound security, there is no CCTV, no reinforce barrier, plus it is at the back of the building, I doubt there will be security check point.

Looking at the internet forum, I noted we are not the only one who is concern about the fence. You may check out the following web site:
    http://forums.condosingapore.com/sho...t=6963&page=43

I hope you can provide me more insight how UOL plan to enhance security in this area. I plan to post this email in the web site to share with the rest of the owners.

Frankly i question how much the developer can save by not building a concrete wall as the fence line. Cos it does cheapen the look of the development.
