Gosh that was so long ago! In so far as quality, i believe being a show flat, all developers would put their best foot forward - so that they can sell more!

Hence, it may not be a wise comparision. But I do recall that carabelle has natural marble flooring for the living/dining and timber strips for the bedrooms. Not sure for the rest....

Are u very close to getting one there?

yup, looking quite closing at getting a unit there, just the pricing. May drop the idea if the economic situation worsens.

Was actually considering the few developments there, Infiniti, Carabelle, Botannia and The Parc, but Carabelle seemed to be one of the better price condo there other than Infiniti.

How much do you think psf should be a more reasonable range for a unit in Carabelle?

Wow! Great photos Home Run, thanks. This really helps as I did not visit the showflat when Carabelle was launched, but not sure if it is the photo or the cabinets in the master bedroom does not look condo material.

Guess you have already bought a unit there? What do you think is a reasonable price to buy a unit there in this economic climate?

    Hi everyone

I am new to this forum and first time buyer for private house.

I am looking for a 2 or 3 bedrooms unit in either Carabelle or Infinity. Me and my wife quite like both, but it seems Carabelle is the one to go for. Is there any agent in here specialises in both projects? Care to share the contacts?

i actually bought a 2 bedrm pool view unit a few mths ago from someone who posted the sale here. Paid quite a bit more than the developer price, but i thought was quite worth it cos of the following few reasons

    1. Huge pool, close to olympic size, >2times wider than monterey park's-
u can get a very good view of the whole project from the overhead bridge in front of Hong Leong Shopping Centre.
    2. Neighbours living opposite your units are actually quite far away, because of the big central space with the big pool and other water features
    3. the car park entrance of the development is quite convenient, and less prone to congestion - imagine 800units in nearby developments trying to drive out though a small road during peak hour.
    4. good walking distance to bus stop and overhead bridge
    5. a nice see through glass wall big balcony for every unit, vs the grill kind which gives quite a caged up-feel
    6. the layouts of the units are quite reno-friendly i find. square living rooms and bedrooms

i wont drop too many points or others may say that i'm biased. Of course, u have to look at which are the things that matters more to you. Other developments may have better furnishings.
You can visit the botannia showflat which i think it's still open.
i'm not aiming to profit from my purchase, but i'm really looking forward to TOP next year to enjoy it.

    Cheers
    R99

Is the architect supervising and conforming to the local laws of the landscaping?

Hi R99C, may I know which stack did you buy and around how much psf did you pay for it? Don't like the bay window in the rooms, take up space and prevents full height windows, but otherwise, I think this is quite a gd development.

    Default Fire Sale

There should be some fire sale going on now and i think it is a good time to buy. I do not own any here so no hidden agenda.

Everyone thinks the property market will crash in 2009. If you ask me, it has crashed already so grab the good deals. Before you know it, the stock markets will be rallying again. Analyst will say,"The markets dropped too much...Obama will come up with new policies...Subprime is all priced in...economy has hit rock bottom...".

Then it will be too late to get the good deals as owners will suddenly raise the selling prices again. So grab it now when there is panic in the streets. Isnt that what Warren Bufett said.
