Thomson Plaza townhouses up for bulk sale at S$158m

Jul 14, 2022

A TOTAL of 19 townhouses in the residential block of Thomson Plaza have been put up for bulk sale via expression of interest at a price of S$158 million.

The townhouse units in the development, known as Marigold Mews, have a strata area ranging from 2,411 square feet to 4,133 square feet, or approximately 60,805 square feet in total, said sole marketing agent Brilliance Capital in a statement.

All the townhouses have 2 storeys, and each has a front parking porch, and an outdoor patio and garden in the rear of the house. They are connected to the commercial podium of Thomson Plaza. Collectively, they compose about a quarter (25.29 per cent) of Thomson Plaza’s total strata area.

Mercatus Co-operative, which is substantially owned by NTUC Enterprise, is selling a bundle of 4 retail properties — its interests in four suburban malls, including 110,000 square feet of strata space in Thomson Plaza, which is roughly half the mall. Brilliance Capital said that the buyer who acquires that strata space as well as the townhouses will get control of more than 80 per cent of Thomson Plaza’s strata area.

The move could pave the way for a potential collective sale of the development in future, said Brilliance Capital.

This tender is open to both local and foreign buyers and closes on Aug 18.
