The tender for Tanah Merah Kechil land offered by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) under the Government Land Sales (GLS) programme has been closed with MCC Land as the successful bidder after submitting the highest bid of $248.99 million, beating 15 other bidders in a competitive bid.
The site area of the 8,880 sq m site translates to $930 psf ppr with maximum GFA of 24,864 sq m. The upcoming new development is called Sceneca Residence and reserved for mixed residential use with a combination of residential new condo and a few commercial units. It is expected to offer 265 flats with 21,528 sq ft or 2,000 sq m on the first floor reserved for commercial retail units.
This Sceneca Residence is jointly developed by MCC Land, Ekovest Developments and The Place Holdings which will harness their respective resources, experts and industry experience thus bringing out the best for this new Tanah Merah Kechil development given the strategic location right next to Tanah Merah MRT station.
