As Netflix's original Korean drama 'Squid Game' created a sensation around the world, the stock price of Netflix also set a new record.
The big tech stocks performed well, posting weekly gains of more than 3%.

It even hit a high of $619 during the day, but it closed at $610.34 just before closing.
While major New York stock indices such as the Dow, as well as large tech stocks are falling due to a surge in U.S. Treasury yields, Netflix has been posting weekly gains of more than 3% this week.
According to Bloomberg News, the 'Squid Game', which was a sensation around the world, raised expectations for Netflix content, leading to an all-time high.
Wall Street experts are also optimistic about the influx of new subscribers in the future as hits like Squid Game continue to appear on Netflix.
"The success of squid games, which drove subscriber growth, was most evident in the Asia-Pacific region," said an analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence.
Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos has been receiving positive reviews, including at a recent event, mentioning that the game Squid has the potential to become the most popular movie of all time, including an English-speaking drama.
Cnet, a US IT and media media outlet, also predicted that "'Squid Game' will overtake the drama 'Bridgerton', which was released at the end of last year, and become Netflix's most popular drama."
