    New launch just across Evelyn Road from Residences at Evelyn.

    Prices are about $1,100 psf, which is a couple of hundred $ lower than Residences at Evelyn.

    3 bedroom unit size is about 1,250 square feet.

    it is a bargain compared to [email protected] and Buckley 18.

    D’Evelyn & Buckley Residence – Two New Mid-sized Freehold Developments Enter The Prestigious Newton Area

    The demand for high-end prestigious developments has over shadowed a growing niche segment within the residential market – boutique condominiums and apartments.

    “Though the attention has been on high-end prestigious condominium projects in recent months, boutique developers have begun carving out a niche market segment of their own. Most of these low rise and low density projects offer exclusivity with specific themes and unique designs that appeal to discerning home buyers,” David Neubronner, Executive Director, Savills Residential.

    This strong demand has convinced Eastern Development to launch two of its latest freehold residential projects this weekend (4th & 5th November) – D’Evelyn and Buckley Residence. Both high-end residential developments are located at the heart of one of Singapore’s most prestigious residential district, District 11.

    “The Newton area has always been a favourite residential enclave amongst the upper middle class Singaporeans, PRs and expatriates. Recently property values in this area have appreciated rapidly and this is largely due to the spill over effect from the record high prices achieved in the Orchard area,” said David Neubronner, Executive Director of Savills Residential.

    D’Evelyn is located along Evelyn Road in the affluent Newton area. The development comprises a single 5-storey block of apartments. D’Evelyn is made up of 24 units of 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments, with the size of each unit ranging from approximately 614 sq ft for a 1-bedroom unit to 2,433 sq ft for a 3-bedroom penthouse. Price starts from approximately $790,000 for a 1-bedroom unit to about $2.34m for a penthouse.

    Being a mid-sized development, D’Evelyn offers 26 car park lots and a 24m swimming pool. D’Evelyn is expected to be completed by mid-November 2008.

    Buckley Residence is located along Buckley Road which is also within the affluent Newton area. The development comprises a single 5-storey block of apartments. Buckley Residence is made up of 13 units of 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments, with the size of each unit ranging from approximately 517 sq ft for a 1-bedroom unit to 2,293 sq ft for a 3-bedroom penthouse. Price starts from approximately $631,000 for a 1-bedroom unit to about $1.96m for a 3-bedroom penthouse.

    Buckley Residence which is also a mid-sized development offers 13 car park lots and a spa pool. The development is expected to be completed by end August 2008.

    The average selling price for D’Evelyn is approximately $1,180 psf while for Buckley Residence is about $1,150 psf. “At these price levels, both D’Evelyn and Buckley Residence are effectively one of the most attractively priced freehold condominiums in the Newton Area,” added David.

    Both D’Evelyn and Buckley Residence are very centrally located at the heart of the prestigious Newton Area. They are within the 2-kilometer radius of a number of good schools, a short drive to Orchard Road, near the The Tanglin and American Clubs, shopping centres, amenities and popular F& B outlets such as Newton Hawker Centre. Both developments are also within walking distance from Novena and Newton MRT Stations.

    “The secluded and serene neighbourhood and its close proximity to ACS Primary, ACS Junior, St Michael’s Primary, Singapore Chinese Girls School, Singapore Chinese Girls Primary and Raffles Girl School, all within the 2-kilometer radius, makes both D’Evelyn and Buckley Residence an ideal choice for families, including those with young children.,” said David.

    Savills Residential has been appointed as the sole marketing agent for both d’Evelyn and Buckley Residence by Eastern Development.
