did a comparison between metropolitan condo n DR...

3 bedder in metro asking $1.34m
3 bedder in DR done at $1.5m

so now Dakota is commading higher price then Redhill ?

Haha. I think as long as you can rent it out, it means you've found someone who appreciates the contractor's design. ;p

SINGAPORE: The Singapore Sports Hub has appointed SMRT Alpha to lease and operate 41,000 square metres of commercial retail space at the Singapore Sports Hub.

This new joint venture is a partnership between subsidiaries of SMRT and NTUC FairPrice.

The retail mall and waterfront area will feature a variety of indoor and alfresco food and beverage outlets.

For shoppers, the mall will offer a wide range of stores and amenities.

Tenants will also include a FairPrice Xtra hypermarket at the mall, providing affordable daily essentials and groceries, as well as sportswear and sporting equipment, catering to the needs of the residents and shoppers in the area.

The Singapore Sports Hub will be opened and fully operational in April 2014.

Any subsidy by tax payers for SMRT Alpha if it runs into losses? Are we talking about the same SMRT that is going to increase bus-fares?

Search rental unit for my friend.

How true is this comment from guru??

    -------------
Dakota Residences sits directly in the flight path of military aircraft landing at the Paya Lebar airfield and planes will fly DIRECTLY overhead (at low altitude) as late as 21:30. Try putting a small child to bed while F-18 after F-18 screams overhead. Living on a high floor just makes it worse. I can't imagine what it's like up in the penthouses (19F). Really wish the landlord had pointed this out before we moved in.

very true! I have mentioned the flight paths driving me crazy in this thread before. I've also mentioned it's not daily.. it's probably once or twice a week and maybe one or two times..

The whole area.. meyer , tanjong rhu, goodman, tanjong katong , geylang, paya lebar area area.. all affected.

when I was staying mountbatten I didn't really notice maybe cause I was on ground floor. I grew up at Dakota block 95 top floor, couldn't remember much about anything else but definitely the plane zooming past sounds etched deep in my memory! conversation has to be paused during it as nothing can be heard.
