On the proposed terminus for the HSR in Singapore .... it will not be a surprise. PM has hinted it very clearly.
But we will hear more next week of course...
If you are not sure where ... look to Genting Hotel in JE.
I have no doubts what the most logical choice is.
But if it is Jurong East, I do wonder how the alignment will be. Which estates will the HSR cut through? Will it be noisy for the affected developments?
If North side less complicated. City centre I think is highly unlikely as the central land seems too costly for a "Malaysia-associated" pursuit. The alignment will be even more tricky.
Recently, the land planners are not coordinating so well it seems. Land for JC also land for transport, how announcements for certain transport infrastructure are made etc. Hope they get their act together for HSR.

There isn't a timeline for this announcement. Let's hope they build very slowly and finish by 2030 or later.

The next question will be where the track is running. Will it be from the West of Choa Chu Kang / Kranji area to minimise disruption to residential areas and wildlife, or through the central catchment area...?

Property aside, I think having the new hsr station at jurong brings cheers to all singaporeans with another fast option of getting into Malaysia! Huat to all jurong owners too!
Cost is 1 thing. Congestion around there is inevitable. Especially jiu hu kias from northern part of Johor, can just drop by in the morning and go back in the evening. Can't imagine the human traffic.. like the Luo Hu immigration in ShenZhen maybe a small scale. Anyway just Beware.
Pay $200 for to and fro tickets ($100 each way)?
That makes it >$4400 per month?
if somebody has $4400 pm to spare for just paying HSR tickets, don't think he/she will live in Malaysia just to commute to Singapore to work on a daily basis.............. Plain stupidity.............

The last station in Malaysia seemed a bit north to link to 2nd causeway.
