    Default Seek advice

    Dear all,

I intend to buy a pte property in Yio Chu Kang area as my in-laws stays in AMK. They will help to take care of my kid so prefer to stay near them. I have visited Sunrise Gardens (2-rms) and found it to be pretty OK. An estimate valuation of the Sunrise is around $450k for 2-rms.

    1. Is Sunrise Gdns a good location to invest for stay?
    2. Other properties to recommend?

    Thanks!

I think mass market condos like Sunrise Gardens are quite a safe bet, since they are well supported by the HDB's restricted supplies due to the BTO programme.

However, lower risks also means lower returns hence they are unlikely to shoot up as much as the high-end condos (or fall as much).

I think $450k is a very reasonable price for a condo. I tried searching around but cannot find anything in this price range. (By the way, I'm not an agent, just a kay poh).

There is this "The Garden at Bishan" (also 99 years) where the small one 883 sf selling for around $650k+. It's nearer to town but more expensive.

I just read Channel News Asia today reported that the private property market seems to be stirring.

Title:Private home sales leapt 80% in March from February

SINGAPORE: There are signs the property market in Singapore might be making an about-turn following its muted start to the year.

Figures released by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) show that the number of private homes sold in March leapt 80 per cent from the month before, signalling improved buyer sentiment.

And developers were even more positive. They launched more than 600 units for sale in March - about 85 per cent more than the month before, and the highest in seven months.

Analysts said they expect to see more units being placed on sale in the months to come.
