Studying in a small room restricts creativity, I cannot imagine studying in a small room....

Even an office cubicle is bigger than the study room these days....

They should just call it a walk-in library or sound room with hifi stuff...

    Just an opinion....

Just like stock market, once the peak has reached , price corrects 10% (just analogy here), first wave of bargain hunters come in thinking is a good buy. Then the second wave or correction sets in the future, market drop another 15%. Is it a good buy now? Better have good holding power caveat emptor.

Saw a long queue of cars parked outside earlier.

80 units is about 15% of total development size.

I recall seeing a post about Bishan Loft EC transacted at 1200+ psf... think it is way too ex... considering Sky Habitat's price now... I think 1400psf thereabt is a steal.

Good time to look around for properties now if you are planning to buy for own use. I think the steep discounts will last for another 2 quarters at most.

It is a good sign that developers are shaking now.....but may continue to drop until 2016.....when bulk units are tops. supply vs demand.

GLS is decreasing. Once the overhanging batch of units are sold, prices should stabilise or climb again (probably by end of this year).

    That's certain.

I think once pple are used to the 40% downpayment for second property.. it would be the norm. The same for cars...50% downpayment.. COE prices still firm.

I thought today's standard is 50% down payment.

    Default 62%

For PR. If we include Additional Stamp Duty then the total will be around 62%. If the buyer have holding power then they will only sell it at minimum 112% of buying price for break even.

It's 40% by regulation. some banks require even lower LTV say 50%.

I was astounded when people bought this project at launch at 1600-1700 psf. There are so many more better buys IN TOWN - although they would be older apartments. Freehold as well.

SkyHabitat structure is up so the plus is that its actually looking quite iconic for the area. But the CTE into town in the morning is not an easy commute, although that depends on the time you leave

CapitaLand is quite bent on reducing inventory. The price drop here is indicative of how they sell - they don't protect their first round buyers (like SC Global and others who hold out for their original prices or give very small discounts). Remember what CapitaLand did for D'Leedon - also large price cuts when they could not move inventory. So those buying early bear the brunt.

I should say when they first launch... prices are above market... 1600-1700 psf...for big sq ft... they price for designer design... current prices are more acceptable. However, not sure if the "low" prices meant not so good facing or height.
