Wonder what's the charge for the black honda accord?
    Assault?
    Endangering life of the public?
Wait.....if no one makes a police report, nothing will happen, right?

Did someone die? I didn't think so from the report.

If someone did die, not sure if it would be manslaughter - which is accidental - this idiot clearly wanted to cause harm.

cannot be attempted manslaughter - though I thought of that too.

How can you attempt to accidentally and with no malice kill someone.

    Looked it up - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manslau...sh_law#Attempt

    makes sense.

The guy in the black car is a world class jerk.

that was no accident. you can see him gesturing with his finger before he deliberately crash into the red car.

intent to cause an accident and hurt = check
intent to kill = probably no

actually if we look carefully, at the very start of the video, the black car tried to filter in while the red car was maybe in his blind spot... even though the space then was already too tight. maybe the 2 cars already rubbed and hit each other. then the black car showed finger and then went in again (afterall his car has already been scratched) ! this is the obvious 2nd incident we all saw.

The driver of the red car is also a jerk

there are many such drivers on our road
when you want to change lane, they purposely speed up
    preventing you from changing lane

Not sure if the red car was doing that - but agree what you say happens all too often.

Putting on your indicator seems to be an alert for all other road users to speed up and close gaps.

High risk & dangerous for what? Get to your destination 5 seconds faster.

Fair point - he probably didn't intend to kill - but it was definitely one possible outcome from his manoeuvre.

Maybe time to get a landrover , not the nice pretty ones, but the ones army uses with bull bars. Bang me - see if I care!

    Precisely

practice patient and courtesy while driving
make our road a lot safer

    I am proud to say

I always give way to car that need filtering

When driving on Lane 1 and if see a car coming too close, I also filter to Lane 2 for him to overtake even though I am going at 100kmh

the red car may probably not even aware that the black car is filtering. anyone notice if the black car had signaled? nowadays most people don't signal and filter to outer lane and worse without picking up to flow with the traffic.

Many cars on the road filter and signal at the same time. No lead time for others to react one.

    Courtesy begets courtesy

    Once was driving at 180 ~~ 190kmh

saw a car coming real fast from the rear and was flashing his head light

gave way to him and he zoomed past and he gave a courteous horn.....

There are many instances we can show manner and courtesy on the road
like giving a good hand gesture and friendly horn(tap lightly) and so on

Sometimes, sounding the horn can provoke people.

Once a taxi cuts into my lane suddenly without signalling. I jammed my brakes and horned at him.

Few secs later, he cut into my lane again. This time I was prepared and let him cut in front of me without horning. Then suddenly, he jammed his brakes, I almost hit his rear. Then he moved off. I thought it was unintentional, then after 20-30 meters ahead, he jammed his brakes again. This time I horned at him. Then he pulled over to the side, rolled down his windows and pointed obscene gesture at me.

Heard from friends that this is not uncommon.

Wah, we can't even horn for the right reasons.

    Ask yourself

Are you ready to fight with this guy
    and
if it is worthwhile to fight with him

I tell you it is not worthwhile because I had done it before

does lta or traffic police accept video records of such dangerous acts as evident and catch the culprit? I thought even no signaling while filtering or turning is a traffic offence

in fact if not mistaken in the good old days modified exhaust sound and black fumes are also offences. what is happening to Singapore roads nowadays? even have flying newspapers, boxes, debris, sand, like no body cares taxis and cyclist seems to be above laws. I even saw an Angmo cyclist going round a busy cross junction in one go
