    Default The Sail rents out parking space

    http://www.tnp.sg/content/sail-worth-waiting
    ngapore’s tallest residential skyscraper, The Sail @ Marina Bay (above), has a solution to the Central Business District’s parking woes.
    The luxury property at Marina Bay with more than 1,000 residential units also offers highly coveted parking spaces to non-residents at about $480 a month.
    The management of The Sail said there are 709 parking spaces, but declined to provide a breakdown of resident and non-resident lots. It added that priority to parking lots will be given to residents.
    Although non-residents lament the steep price, they are grateful for a season-parking lot in the CBD.

    To go down this route, The sail owners must be all damn kiam with their maintenance fee. I really pity those who bought there for own stay.

    most likely a portion of the tenants don't drive that's why they have a lot of lots to rent out.

    I think its because many units are bought for investment by property agents who are trying to squeeze the maximum juice out the development.

    Who receives the rent?

    Just learnt from my MC that all the available carparks for leased are taken up after the news of the mechanized carpark at Club street is to be demolished. Heard carpark rate is going to be increased soon.

    Default Procedure to get approval to rent out parking slots

    May I know what is procedure to rent out parking slots to non-residents?

    1) AGM to pass the resolution;
    2) Apply from URA for approval;
    3) Apply from LTA for approval.

    I have tried a couple of times, but URA points me to LTA, and LTA points me to URA.

    Any escalation channel?

    Thanks,
