    Default Dakota Residences

Drive pass Dakota Residences last evening... it is so beautiful with the Christmas lightings.

Does anyone know when the SIT flats beside it will be torn down?

I thinK i READ before govt is not renewing the tenancy agreement with coys providing the units for foreign workers.

Instead, they might be opening up the units for couples or people who need the flats under various circumstances like single mum with kids etc etc.

So I guess it's safe for the next 5yrs?

Anyway, there's a lot of land around dakota area for development into condos etc. The army camp next to the MRT station already can house a few developments. Old airport hawker area also have a lot of grassland for HDB etc.

most of the tenants at the SIT have moved out..
you only need take a walk around at night to notice the number of units lighted.

IMHO in the longer term the SIT flats will make way for land sale and condos, but not before existing sites like the army camp behind are done deal

Dakota residences indeed is nicer than WB, have better fixtures. At least to me

Agree. Probably that's why DR is more preferred by Expats / Ang Mohs for rental.
