The rich can always have that COE mentality but the poor cannot. This is true not just in Singapore but in every country!

It should be other way round. Whether you remain poor or become better depends on whether you have the COE (Character,Optimism,Excellence).

Those rich that build their fortune from scratch has COE.

Another thing is acquiring the right knowledge/education will bring you out of poverty.

If everybody has COE, the world will be a much better place.

Wait until 300m China middle class become 700m in 2020 then u know what is "brutality"

Gas price in US was like 1.5 ... now 3.5, if 700m China middle class in 2020, gas price could be 6USD ... your PUB bill will be 2x from current level. petrol price could be 3.xxSGD

and u have emerging big economy like Mexico which imports big amount of gas/oil from US ... now u understand why u have to pay higher PUB / petrol?
