[QUOTE=acosean;471146]Which means if it is down, all Big Four all be down?

I'm more curious about the cafes/eateries to be started on the ground floor of Seastrand, meant to serve largely the Big Four residents. No news about that as yet.[/QUOTE

Walk by a few time, did not see the shops in shape yet.

I thought it is only meant to serve the residents of Sea Strand.. Unless Sea Strand's policy is to allow visitors to enter to go to the residential units and also visitors to enter for the cafe/eatery.

If visitors can go to cafe, they can also use the facilities? Like eating poolside?

Very poor mentality. I am not a buyer at Sea Strand, but if I am a resident I wouldnt like it when non-residential visitors pour in and out.

Reminds me of thaipan at Mandarin Gardens. Used to go there after school to eat! Don't know how the residents felt about it

The showroom model shows that it was open to public. But public cannot go inside the residence area.

Must wait till the development to complete to draw conclusion

Nowadays, the Residences concept is that there will be shops catering to the public but condo will still be private; that is, public cannot access the condo. The shops will be facing outside but beyond that, need to go pass security. Refer to Double Bay Residences.

If the job of the security is too diversified then their focus of security might be compromised . Unless the shops operate independently from the condo which mean shops facing outside and no need to pass by security/guard house.!

I don't know how Double Bay Residences handle it, but they have 6 retail units not 1. With 6 I guess the intention is to cater to outsiders.

If I go to the cafe and buy a coffee, sit at the pool side relax and drink, not very nice also right? (Surely got these type of people around). Unless you telling me the pool and other facilities are blocked out from public even if they past security.

My thinking behind is also.. I have heard stories of outsiders bring kids and gatecrash condo just to swim.

The retail units at SeaStrant are facing Pasir Ris Drive 3. They are facing the public road and not inside the residential area. Behind the retail unit is Multistory car park.

Are you sure it is not inside residential area? I just looked at the condo layout, it is right inside the condo, meaning which non-residents have to walk past guardhouse, all the way in, pass the pool to get to the retail units. unless they sneak in from the side gate when residents leave the condo.

The retail units face outside with the outdoor decking in front of the shops.

Good for the shops to have a broader customer base; only then is their business sustainable.
