    Default CMs will push developers to have better design

    Already happening, FEO Eco, qbay and parc Olympia with sports theme, sky gardens at SM and WF collection

    Will be more like taiwan, niche projects with arts theme, retro theme .. Healthy choices

    Urban vista type of condo will not sell anymore

    Agree.they just have to be more efficient about their designs and accept that the days of oversized profits are over.

    Don't think so. Probably make units even smaller to be more affordable. Frankly no one cares about olympic theme or some mushy hollywood theme. Such themes gets outdated very fast - very much like bohemian theme homes. Best to stick to classic designs that never gets stale.

    There is 70sqm overall restriction so cannot anyhow shrink, may be will sell carpark separately to aborb absd impact

    No need to resort to drastic measures. Just drop prices lor Frankly, the high-end luxury units still have a lot of margins to play around with, i.e. developers can drop price and still make a decent margin. Frankly, I'm disappointed that our government actually allows extension for those project that cannot be sold within the stipulated time frame of 7 years, e.g. Leedon Residences etc. This means developers will continue to hoard land and rent out units for those condos that has no buyers because they are over priced.

    but the extensions are pretty costly no?

    just read the article and read the extensions are free. so nice...
