SINGAPORE : More Singapore-listed companies are jumping on the real estate bandwagon to profit from the sizzling property market.

Two sister companies - Hiap Hoe, a construction company, and SuperBowl, which is in the leisure business - have set up a joint venture to submit tender applications and jointly develop real estate projects.

The joint venture has a paid-up capital of S$2.

Hiap Hoe was originally a sub-contractor in small-scale road projects.

It later diversified into residential housing construction activities.

The firm expanded into the public sector building market in 1994. - CNA /ls
