Thanks all. Who knows where the prices will go? As my old man said, at the most, take a $500k hit at some point, but should recover and more than make back in a 20 year time horizon...

If it does drop to $1200psf, I'll buy 1 more and stay in it myself

Freehold, town area and good size compound. It's a good buy.

Re CM7: well, I saw this unit and really really liked it. 1 of the top floors for 2 bedders, with the sky gym and sky garden on the same floor, so my heart overruled my head

Rental for 2 bedder high floor easily >6k

Yield at current prices around 3% only though.

Keep for 20 years for something you like and have the means for in a wonderful devpt, won't go wrong.

I agree too - it forces me to be more thrifty and responsible. It's hard to feel grown-up and responsible when one is still single... heh...

Currently tenanted at $6,000. Up for renewal in June and I'm hoping for $6,800 (a few units done at this price in the past 6 months).

You won't feel any weight on your shoulders when it is tenanted. End up you may still splurge. Heh. Plus you have extra pocket money from your tenant.

Maybe for you to write your grocery list whilst your mind is fresh in the morning. Scribble something as you brush your teeth. Lol.

The glass thing is a magazine holder la ... haha! Took me 1-2 months to realised then put in a magazine to pretend to be atas. hahaa!!!

Welcome to the estate my neighbour. Rental is $6.8K a mth +- 100-200.

Whats more important about our place is the Feng Shui. Get someone to check it out for you, you will be WOW-ed! by it.

hahaha... we learn new things every day! Though I need to remember not to borrow your magazines if they have been perused in the bathroom... haha. And thanks for the ringing endorsement of Rivergate!

The unit is tenanted and the tenant wishes to stay on, so visit not likely now. But perhaps in future when I finally get to live in it!

Well done and congrats on your buy. Is yours on L33 or 34? A 2 bedder on L33 sold for 2298 psf recently.

Your bathroom wall tile colour is different from mine tho.

    Welcome to the neighbourhood..

I believe the units have different finishing? Some just tiles & others marble?
Capitaland did this for The Wharf project.
I would say the bathroom is nice but the kitchen is just utilitarian.

Yes, most units seem to have the homogeneous living room tiles; I only came across 2 units with marble tiles. And yes, the kitchen looks bleah

Do you know if the "better" finishing was (i) an option for the buyer and (ii) cost more?
