I don't see why there is a need to do so.
Are we going to stop honoring successful people?

They also do not allow banding of secondary schools now.
How to make an informed decision when applying to secondary schools now?

My gal's sec school don't even tell them their position in class.
They don't even publish the average GPA score.
    Everything is thru hearsay.
How to know where your child stands in this kind of situation?

All school are good school, but some school are more-good(better) school.

just to check, any one will go to school tomorrow if your son/daugher is P6 this year?

My son initially didn't want me to go, but last night he said ok, but warned me not expect too much...

yes, it is good to be with them,
this is a very important milestone at this age for them

if they are good, encourage them
if not up to expectation...be by their side

Jobless but still got regular income, so not counted as jobless.

Actually come to think of it, those school mates who were high flyers in school, most of them are earning comfortable salaries but some of those who did average in school are making obscene amount of money now.

I got 246 for PSLE. My mum teared cos I couldn't get into SAP school like my elder siblings. But when I got 8A1s for my O levels, she stopped worrying thereafter. And when it came to work, I always feel i underperform and concluded myself as just a below avg worker. I m better on my own.
