    After forcefully lowering interest rates for 5 years... wonder what's going to happen when it finally goes up? I'm hoping for property prices to come down... But then, thats what everyone's been waiting too right?

    yes, but if the interest rate remains low, the bond price will go up...
    Bond prices have been going up for 10-15%pa in the last 2 years

    I think the ghost bro provided a link before that the daily interest payment by US is US4b a day. 9% pa...Did I get it right?

    think nevermind lah... now biggest US Treasury securities holder should be USA Fed,... they print, they take back some interest from USA gov, they make some $$ from treasury sale later also... oops!... paiseh... i also lost now,... me also got confused of what is going on and what will happen next...

    anyway, giant USA got 314mil population,... $112mil/314mil = $0.35... per person pays extra 35cents tax each day... ask them to step on accelerator more gently can liow....

    no-lah... get rid of those too many zeros behind...
    16.3T = 16300bil

    at 9%,... 16300bil * 0.09 / 365 = 4.02bil per day..
    at 4%,... 16300bil * 0.04 / 365 = 1.79bil per day..
