    Another delicious but humble looking eatery is Cafe D'Manila at Katong Village.
    The place is small, so mostly takeaways.

    Eh i think he is referring to the wanton mee at the old coffeeshop which has made way for Katong Regency?

    He mentioned Joo Chiat, so unlikely at KR.
    That one would be Haig Road, right?
    I miss that place too.

    Isn't that block where the naked man ran out ?

    The food centre should be at Blk 630.

    Dear brothers and sisters, I see that this thread has gone quiet.

    There is this Hawaiian Restaurant back in the 70's just off the East Coast.
    It was located on a cliff near Changi.
    The waitresses dressed like Hawaiians' and the music was Hawaiian too.
    I do not remember whether there were Hawaiian dances too as I went there only once.
    Those attractive girls must be grandmothers now.
    It is a very nice place, cool windy nights and you can hear the waves crashing below.
    Unfortunately, I do not have photos but found the restaurant on the web.

    The location is now part of the airport.
