SINGAPORE - Minister for National Development Mr Khaw Boon Wan said Tuesday that the Government has no plans to build any more executive maisonettes.
This is because the current executive condominium (EC) scheme provides "a wider range of flats to cater to Singaporeans' diverse preferences", Mr Khaw said.

Nah, its not freehold, just renting from hdb. 30yrs later extinct.

used to be endeared to EMs cos 2-storey hdb living (without the "waste" of a roof terrace) seems really nice.. but that was many years back.

Haha, that's what I think when I wanted to upgrade my 5 room HDB flat to executive flat/maisonette, but in the end I bought the EC.
