National Development Minister Khaw Boon Wan had said that there would be many millionaires at the Pinnacle@Duxton, when home owners there can sell their flats in about two years' time.

The estate reaches the five-year minimum occupation period in December 2014.

But not everyone wants to cash in on their prized asset there.

The New Paper spoke to 10 residents, and most said they had no plans to sell their homes.

One resident claimed she wouldn’t sell her flat even if someone were to offer her $3 million.

Thin is bad for market cos of lack of supply of resale units. To cool the market, you need both supply of new units and resale units to flood the market at the same time.

What view? Cranes and port view? PAP never expect this to become Death Star so soon ...They are pretty safe even in the next downturn simply becos of limited supply.. But again limited demand at high price too, if 1200psf for this u might as well buy brand new v on shenton

if the pinnacle hits $1000psf, we can safely assume that shenton way is gonna hit around $2500-3000

by the way, with the seaview comes the problem of dust and soot from the nearby ships.

That's exactly why HDB flats CANNOT BE SOLD at costs (excluding land price) to owners. Pinnacles is case is point. It makes INSTANT MILLIONAIRES without hard work out of these people and they have the cheek to hao lian on national newspapers. Its sucking taxpayers money directly to their pocket when the land can be sold to private and help reduce our tax burden. Imagine the rest of us due to our "hard work" and talent has exceeded the income limit for a HDB flat and therefore not entitled to one and pay high taxes. It's really not fair if these less-talented get an instant $2 million out of a HDB flat. Getting a HDB flat like Pinnacles is really like striking lottery - our govt should price it right!

I think the couple in the photo very smart one ... this is like developer ... list price very high, give lots of discounts later to make the buyer bite

All those who part with 3 million or 1 million just b'cos of this view really have NO Brain at all.

Ai Yeah, What view you want to see.. 24 x 7hr .. just pay $5 or is it $10 and stay up there 7 hours until you get sick ..

3 million dollar get get you round the world to see all the great wonders of the world and still have enough change to buy another FH Condo. To the couple who think that $3 million is just enough to part his/her Duxton house, Tan Ku KU ..I say I will pay you $5 maximum to see it OK.
