Police officers have cordoned the affected area and CBRE (the Singapore Armed Forces' Chemical Biological Radiological and Explosives Defence Group) is attending to the incident.
As such, Lorong 22 Geyland and Guillemard Road, between Mountbatten Road and Cassia Crescent, have been closed.
The traffic police has been deployed at the affected roads.
The police advises members of the public not to be alarmed and to tune in to the radio for the latest update on the traffic situation.

A World Wall II bomb was also found 2 months ago at The Cape Condo at Amber Road.

We also found one at Bukit Brown when we wanted to relocate our grandmother's tomb many years back.

A world War II bomb was discovered on Monday near a busy intersection in Geylang.

Police said that they received a call at 12.40pm saying it had been found at the junction of Lorong 22 and Guillemard Road.

Bomb disposal specialists from the Singapore Armed Forces arrived on the scene to remove the war relic, which was discovered on a patch of grass between a disused four-storey apartment and a drain. It was unclear how the bomb was found.

Roads leading to the area were cordoned off, including Lorong 22 and Guillemard Road between Mountbatten Road and Cassia Crescent. This caused a traffic jam.

If like that then have to wait for them to fly here then there will be a delay.
Just wondering ..... whether do bombs become dormant/ deactivated after a long time?
