    Default SLIGHTLY hazy... only

NEA actually calls this 'slightly hazy'....

They must be looking at the air from their ivory tower.

PSI is 58-64 in the moderate range, while PM2.5 is 46-71 in the moderate range as well, the East is the most polluted.

    http://app2.nea.gov.sg/psi.aspx

Visibility in the east has dropped to 5000m

Last year this time I was adding to the smoke by smoking lol.... Rather die from first hand smoke than second hand.

    See below.

    Haze worsens in Singapore
By Seet Sok Hwee, Qiuyi Tan | Posted:

SINGAPORE: The haze in Singapore has worsened. The 24-hour PSI reading was 69 as at 7pm Monday, the highest so far this year.
The National Environment Agency (NEA) said this remains within the moderate range.
The worst hit are the northern and western parts of Singapore. Eastern Singapore remains within the good range, with a reading of 48.
As the haze continues, the number of respiratory cases here is expected to rise.
Healthway Medical reported a 15 per cent increase in the number of patients who came in with respiratory problems like asthma and sore throats.
Separately, childcare centres and kindergartens Channel News Asia spoke with said attendance has been regular.
But they're taking additional precautions if the haze worsens.

I feel like I am suffocating. Usually I can see the Batam from my unit. Now I can only see a few blocks away. Hiding in aircon room. If go outside, eyes and nose feel so itchy.

Yes, I still remember that day when I reached home after work at night when it was so hazy and I asked my mother whether she was barbequeing something.

    Hazy Singapore
    October 22nd, 2010 Bryan Chung

It had been almost a week since I last blogged. So I should blog something now. What about the haze situation in Singapore? The Pollutant Standards Index (or PSI) rose to the “Unhealthy” levels yesterday evening, peaking at 108. Singapore’s Environment Minister had expressed “deep concern” about the haze to his Indonesian counterpart. Singapore barely crossed into “Unhealthy” levels, I cannot imagine how bad places in Malaysia are like when news reported than schools were shut down as the PSI hit over 415! This has been an annual problem for countries surrounding Indonesia. I am just disgusted by how Indonesia seem to be “not too concern” over all these forest fire burning. Can’t they be like more responsible to not only themselves but to their neighbours?

psi hit 75 in north as of 8am and 65 in east. I see clear skies in east. SOMETHING is VERY wrong with nea measuring equipment. Unless you tell me the thick choking smoke last night rated 65 does not contribute to the psi reading.

then the killer must be silent colorless odorless invisible. ozone anyone?

Hide in the house and turn on aircon. Use the aircon to filter out the aircon.
