Dead body found in Punggol River

SINGAPORE - The body of a Chinese man was found floating in the Punggol river earlier today.

Singapore's Civil Defence officers received a call at about 10.25am informing them of the body. When they arrived at the scene five minutes later, they saw the body floating four meters from the river bank.

They pronounced the man dead after retrieving the body from the waters.
