    Not making much sense here.

Lemons cannot be tenanted out. Not like cars that can't be driven. Unless is dilapidated and unsafe for living.

Can't be bothered unless is very rich or looking for very high price to sell. Can hardly use the word stuck...

Already stuck with a lemon, going to sell at a loss, therefore dont want to spend more $ into the property. Furthermore some of them are tenanted out, selling with tenancy so a bit hard to go and paint.

Ermm those that i viewed recently are indeed tenanted out.
Whether the property is a lemon or not depends on one's perception.
    For me its a lemon.

And why would you view a lemon?

For its location? Facilities? Good schools in the vicinity? Looking to rent?

Then it is no longer a lemon.

Hehe, no idea. You are the one who viewed it.

A car with peeled paint only is definitely not a lemon.

The most common and well-known example of a lemon is in the used car industry, where defective or poorly conditioned vehicles that are bought and sold by the purchaser without prior knowledge of the true state of the vehicle. There are, however, regulations that attempt to protect consumers in the event that they purchase a defective vehicle, known as Lemon Laws.

But there is NO "Lemon Law" for buying new property U/C before TOP!
The judge already said it in recent law-suit: The developers can push blame to sub-contractors! (and sub-contractors can again push down the line???)
Voila! Better watch out if you buy new U/C property!!! You basically have NO re-course for poor and shabby workmanship and even when design/facilities not according to brochure / shown in show-room!

Ok please go get resales to get a confirmed list of defects sold as is.

Versus new sales with unconfirmed and unknown list and warranty.

I know what I will get if price is similar.

Indeed an expert in human emotions.

But it's of genuine concern for him, as well as assessing the safety of other places we could consider to retire in. Australia has been known for bushfires as well.

Doesn't mean we ultimately will take those options we assess.

RCR should be more affordable to many of the forumers here.

Yes, I am okay. Can still remember the mountain of flip flops at the entrance and how amazed I was that Singaporeans buy pricey condos like they buy cabbages. "I want his lah, I want that one too lah."
