when developers advertise soho units on commercial plot: can you use those units for residential purpose??.. is there really some regulation specifying soho usage... which means you can use it for both office and home, hence small office home office??... (this 1 is building soho on office land, sold as office and got GST)

when developers advertise soho units on residential plot: will you be always given the rights for using the units as office usage??.. meaning you should be able to get approval from URA/ACRA and put company logo outside your unit, but what if your MC/MCST bans office usage??... (this 1 is building soho on residential land, sold as residential)

Better not to assume. Always ask specifically whether said project is approved for Home Office use and ask for black and white approval proof.

Soho is not recognized by the authority if I'm not wrong... It is a fanciful name coined by the developers
