    Hhhmmm...

    1) have to wait for turn to collect keys while lawyers and banks do the necessary paperwork and transactions

    2) have to go through the defect checklist and wait for turn for developer to rectify any defects if there's any

    3) have to renovate the whole place using own ID

So plus plus minus minus another few more months of waiting before can officially move in and stay?

Does anybody know what happens with that "sheltered walkway" to MRT station?
Will they erect additional shelter between the side-gate and the existing shelter leading to the overhead bridge?

Did the brochure simply says "sheltered linkway" or "sheltered linkway to MRT"?

From the site plan that I have seen so far, this is what it said :

Side entrance from MRT (covered linkway).

Think it's juz sheltered linkway to the exit door. Will be nice to have sheltered link to the overhead bridge so we won't get wet when raining. Even better to have underground pass direct to mrt station so no need to climb stairs when we grow old. Shall we petition to LTA or maybe ask our MP for this juz before the next election. I know I dreaming but no harm trying though...btw, who's our MP?

Yes. We should get the agencies to do something. LTA or URA? How should we get about it?

I think you should contact the management or contractors of Bartley Residences first. Since its a private and not public project, I doubt LTA or URA will do anything?

I think such things will need the approval of the authorities (LTA, URA etc) but the cost should be borned by the developer (before TOP) or the MCST.

    This has been done before.

H2O residences has a covered linkway from their side gate to the LRT station.

We may not have to fret, they are extending the shelter of MRT stations to Neighbourhood.
    http://www.lta.gov.sg/content/ltaweb...y-for-all.html

Bartley station is part of phase 2. But the bad news is "have to wait"........

I'm just afraid that the currently existing "covered linkway", including that covered linkway connecting Maris Stella and MRT station, is THE linkway built by LTA.
There will be no more extension of that going to BR sidegate.
So we will need to build the extension ourselves (MCST).

Actually, under the previous programme, sheltered walkway are provided from transport node to schools and health care facilities within 200m radius. Maris Stella probably falls under this category.

The new walk2ride programme will extend the coverage to include residential developments and public amenities within 400m radius.

    So there's still a possibility !

Anyway, all this is just our own conclusion and speculation. If it happens, it is a bonus. If not, then we are not worse off.

First, we go ask developer. If can't, go ask lta. If still can't, go ask MP...election coming

Seriously speaking, if lta can build the existing tunnel from bartley church to mrt for the handful landed houses, can't see why they can't build a small short shelter for the convenience of the 702 household from B. Res. Not to mention another 700+ coming up from botanique.
Think developer or lta will grant our wish if B. Res. appeal as a group

Just need to be targeted, eg BR tiles and you can see "soon bee HUAT" under search result.
Then try others things like "sanitary fittings", "timber flooring" etc.

Using this will help too: 10313C MK24
    This is BR lot number.
