    Default Haw Par Villa

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is studying ways to give Haw Par Villa - well known for its statues and dioramas showcasing Chinese myths and legends - a new lifeline.

In response to queries from The Straits Times, Mr Chew Tiong Heng, executive director of destination experience at STB, said it is 'engaging relevant government agencies and special interest groups to study various possibilities'.

He added that Haw Par Villa has significant heritage value and holds many memories for Singaporeans and visitors.
But the agency declined further comment when asked for more details of the options under review.

Many people don't like to be reminded what they might face in the afterlife for the sins they committed in this life. It will never make money for STB. The theme park at best still has to be sponsored by STB for education purpose.

I was there on a school trip long time ago. The 16 year old girl i fancied took the waterslide with me twice.

Once when i was sitted behind her and i 'accidentally' hugged her. She got smarter the second time we took the slide. This time she sat behind me. But she involuntarily leaned forward due to sudden braking force after the slide reached bottom. So this time her front bumped into me. I wasn't complaining. Very good experience then. A nice memory.

No wonder you're so interested in the redevelopment. "holds many memories for Singaporeans and visitors"

    Bring back the water slide!

Good idea... Those figures if retained, will assist to remind of who you will meet after you kill yourself over mounting gambling debts.

Never been there before. I also heard the food is good but who goes there? It isnt exactly a good lunch location.

Well, the re-development of HPV can only be better for the nearby residences.
