13 projects win property awards

Inaugural property awards introduced by Fiabci Singapore

A TOTAL of 13 projects were announced as winners of the inaugural Fiabci Singapore Property Awards last night.

These awards will qualify them to participate in next year's prestigious International Real Estate Federation's (Fiabci) Prix d'Excellence Awards.

In the residential category, Duchess Residences (by UOL Group) and Belle Vue Residences (by Wing Tai Land) won awards for residential (low rise); Hillvista (by Far East Organisation), Marina Bay Residences (by Raffles Quay Asset Management) and St Thomas Suites (by Frasiers Centrepoint) were recognised under the residential (high rise) category.

In the office category, Raffles Quay Asset Management's Marina Bay Financial Centre (Phase 1) clinched the award.

11 Tampines Concourse by (City Developments Limited), Treelodge@Punggol (by Housing & Development Board) and Mapletree Business City by Mapletree Investments shone in the sustainable development category.

HDB's Clementi Town Mixed Development came in tops under the master plan category.

Under the industrial category, Citi Campus and Plaza 8 (by HSBC Institutional Trust Services) and ICON @IBP (by Ascendas Tuas) rounded up the list of 13 winners.

The inaugural Singapore Property Awards was introduced by Fiabci Singapore to recognise excellence in real estate development projects or individual properties in terms of design, aesthetics, functionality, contribution to the build environment, and the community at large, and to encourage more Singapore projects to participate in the Fiabci Prix d'Excellence Awards.

The dinner hosted by the Singapore chapter was held to congratulate the winners of the World Prix d'Excellence and the Singapore Property Awards.

For the World Prix d'Excellence 2011, City Developments Ltd's 7 & 9 Tampines Grande topped the sustainable development category, while City Square Mall emerged runner-up in the retail category.

Hotel Quincy, by Far East Organisation and The Pinnacle @ Duxton (by HDB) finished runners-up in the hotel and residential (high rise) categories respectively.
