I'll buy it only if it's dirt cheap and if I feel comfortable there the first second I step in.
Reminds me of the Sunglade condo murder case in 2006....

My biggest concern is the resale value. I may be able to buy cheap but it also only mean I must sell cheap and still might struggle to find potential buyers.

I wasn't keen with this development. The family then told me what he knew and to avoid 14th floor (especially if the price is suspiciously low. Dont know which unit number though). I didn't believe until i counterchecked with the security guards. I ran home and never turned back.
The residents of Sunglade must have been so so angry when they thought they have struck lottery with the announcement of NEX mall opening beside them but the death just dashed their hopes altogether. Now they merely want to test market with prices they thought they should have gotten earlier, hoping that things will be restored somewhat!Originally Posted by Rosy

"A maid fell 18 storeys to her death from a condominium in Serangoon on Saturday" in May 2011
Straits Times Indonesia | Singapore. An Indonesian maid fell 18 stories to her death at Goldenhill Park Condominium in Mei Hwan Drive on Saturday.
Titi Lestari, 26, is thought to have lost her balance and fallen while cleaning the windows in the master bedroom in her employer's unit in the Serangoon area.
She was found face-up and bleeding profusely at the foot of Block 60 in the condo at around noon, Chinese-language evening daily Lianhe Wanbao reported yesterday.
Witnesses said she had injuries all over her body and was bleeding from her nose.
She was pronounced dead at the scene later, said a police spokesman.
Yesterday morning, the maid's employer and two officials from the Indonesian Embassy were at the mortuary to identify the body. They declined to speak to reporters. The case has been classified as unnatural death.

SMU student in condo death fall
AsiaOne
Tue, Mar 15, 2011
A 20-year-old foreign student was found dead at the foot of a condominium in River Valley early Saturday morning at around 5.50am.
He was taken to hospital but died about 31/2 hours later.
The student, a Swiss national, was found dead at the foot of a block at Aspen Heights.
According to the Straits Times, Mr Yves Patrick Biggoer was a final-year business undergraduate at the Singapore Management University (SMU).
In a statement to the Straits Times, the school described him as an 'attentive student and active participant in class' who 'contributed many interesting ideas and comments'.
Police have classified the case as an unnatural death.
We should encourage more people to contribute their information. This is really helpful... for those to buy cheap and for those who die die must avoid such properties.Originally Posted by land118

This case still sends shivers down my spine. I remember following the case as a youngster in the Straits Times and Wan Bao. The image of the bag where they stuffed the body in and dumped at the foot of the block still lingers in my mind.Originally Posted by kingkong1984

This makes me recall of a case. I have a friend who stayed in Jurong East. She always felt that there was someone around her house, so she went to the "medium" to ask and was told that there was a "woman spirit" in the house but harmless, so the medium taught her how to pray, and later she strucked a lottery. Unbelievable?
Another case is her younger sister bought a new HDB flat at CCK, same thing happen, a harmless female spirit. In the middle of the night, they could hear the noise (washing of the bowls). All of them could see the spirit except her elder sister. So I think it all depends on the individual luck also.
