HDB launches Built-To-Order flats in Punggol

SINGAPORE: The Housing & Development Board (HDB) has launched another Build-To-Order project in Punggol.

Punggol Spectra, along Punggol Central, will offer 1,142 units comprising two-, three- and four-room flats.

Prices range from S$89,000 for a two-room flat to S$293,000 for a four-room unit.

The HDB said Monday these are priced below similar flats in the market and are affordable to first-time flat buyers.

It added first time flat buyers are only expected to use between 20 and 26 per cent of their monthly household income to service their loans if they buy a flat at Punggol Spectra.

The board said the price is well below the 30 per cent international benchmark for affordable housing.
