Is there anyone who's already bought property this way, who's also happy with it? From what I can find, it seems like there's a catch to it.. Friends are supposed to be able to buy in the same area where they teach, but the properties are only in disadvantaged areas.

hi jas, if you are buying for your own stay and for really long stay then should be fine... else no point buying this location & 99years leasehold if you are looking to buy for investment or selling within the next 3-5years as you may not see the returns for it too. There are better location nearer to town which you can really consider for own stay or investment since whichever choice you are making will definitely allows you to enjoy pretty good investment value and returns!
