Google’s New NFT-based Advertising Policy

Google has recently updated its advertising policy by allowing NFT-based ads as long as they don’t promote gambling-based services. This new policy is said to be circulated on September 15, 2023. The updated policy will still prohibit the display of advertisements, for games that enable players to bet or risk NFTs against other players or for rewards including cryptocurrencies and other nonfungible tokens. Casino games involving NFTs and any other forms of gambling that involve real-world prizes, like NFTs, cash, or cryptocurrency, will also remain prohibited. Policy violations will result in a seven-day warning, followed by account suspension.
