Keppel Land has completed its Corals at Keppel Bay waterfront living condo project and began handing units over to buyers yesterday.

The 366-unit condo, which is 58 per cent sold, was launched in 2013 and is the latest addition to the Keppel Bay Waterfront precinct.

Corals at Keppel Bay comprises 11 buildings of five to 10 storeys each. The homes range from one-bedroom to four-bedroom configurations spanning 600 to 3,000 sq ft, with penthouse units spanning 5,000 to 8,000 sq ft.

The remaining units represent "a good selection of all the types", said Mr Albert Foo, Keppel Land's general manager of marketing, yesterday. The average price during the 2013 launch was $2,200 psf .

About 60 per cent of the buyers are Singaporeans, over 16 per cent are permanent residents and the rest are foreigners.

Corals at Keppel Bay and its sister development, Reflections at Keppel Bay, are the only two residential developments in Asia designed by famed Polish-American architect Daniel Libeskind.

Mr Libeskind told the media yesterday: "It is a project not conceived as something abstract, but really a social place to live in.

"I thought about it from the inside out, from the point of view of a family or person living here, and I didn't think of just the number of apartments here, but how unique is each place to live in.

"And you can see that in the subtlety of the composition, there are differences. Every unit, every view is composed. Every balcony and every setting in space is unique."

Mr Foo added: "We were very amazed by Daniel. There are 366 units in all, and a very high proportion of them have a water view.

Keppel Land Singapore's president Tan Swee Yiow said the company "has been privileged to be able to contribute to shaping Singapore's skyline with iconic residences and office buildings. Our vision for true waterfront living has again borne fruit in Corals at Keppel Bay with Mr Daniel Libeskind's signature architecture".

Corals at Keppel Bay has achieved the Building and Construction Authority Green Mark GoldPlus Award for its sustainable features.

More than half of the development is covered by greenery and water features, with an expansive garden at its centre, surrounded by facilities such as an Olympic-length swimming pool and clubhouse with a landscaped roof, rainwater filtration and recycling system.

Selling price is too high, $2.2k psf. Caribbean is only $1.5Kpsf, same Reflections. Just looked at one unit in Reflection, $1.3xK can close. Still thinking.
