Let them come. Some of us are intending to invade China and other parts of Southeast Asia.

But I'm definitely staying until I retire.

The meeting between China President Xi Jinping and Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou on Saturday (Nov 7) in Singapore will see the the Matsu Liquor being served at the dinner for both leaders.

According to TVBS, Taiwan's Presidential Office said that eight cans of Mr Ma's favourite Matsu Liquor will be brought to the dinner and presented to the guests.

Staff from Taiwan's Presidential Office will prepare the liquor according to the special recipes and methods so that the liquor will be kept warm.

The Matsu Liquor is the designated wine at banquets hosted by Mr Ma at Taiwan's Presidential Office, according to Taiwan's Central News Agency.

According to ET Today, Mr Ma fell in love with the liquor when he visited Taiwan's Matsu islands about 10 years ago when he was Taipei mayor.

Mr Ma said at that time that the name of Matsu Liquor can also be shortened to Ma Liquor, and the liquor maker hoped to use Mr Ma's popularity and asked him to be the spokesman for the liquor.

The county magistrate even suggested using Mr Ma's photos on the liquor cans, but it was turned down by Mr Ma, though he did buy 640 cans of the liquor. He drank it and also helped to introduce it to other people.

It was reported that the dinner on Saturday between Mr Xi and Mr Ma will be attended by 14 people, with seven on each side at a round table, and Mr Xi and Mr Ma will be sitting side by side.

TVBS also reported that the dinner is likely to be held at Shang Palace, a restaurant in Shangri-La Hotel. The signature dishes that will be served include cod fish, Peking duck and abalone with braised pork.
