Lake Life applications exceed 1,380 within a week of launch

WITH two days to go before e-applications end, Lake Life, an executive condominium (EC) in the Jurong Lake District, is now more than 2.5 times subscribed. Over 1,380 applications have been made for the development's 546 units, within a week since its launch.

The high demand could see Lake Life break the record number of e-applications received for a new EC launch; Sea Horizon saw over 1,500 applications last year.

Lake Life is the second EC to enter the market this year, and the first EC to be launched in Jurong in the last 17 years - the last was Summerdale in May 1997.

Pricing of the units will be announced on Nov 5, coinciding with the opening of the showflats for viewing. Bookings for Lake Life will open on Nov 8, 2014.

It is normal response with no New EC for the last 17 years.

It is normal response with no New EC for the last 17 years.

Its not just because there are no EC, its mainly because JLD is an attractive site with plenty of potential.

EC forms the base for pte condo pricing.... don't expect new pte condo to drop too much...

The pricing is very attractive too, hence the strong take up rate....EC are really very good for the sandwiched class...kinda regret selling my EC 4 years ago...miss the condo pool and nice landscaping...

I think with the HSR in Jurong and JLD, potential is definitely there but must buy at a good price like this one...

800 to 930psf is not exactly very cheap.

Units were sold at an average of $857 per sq ft (psf).

Prices range from $799 to $930 psf, with an average of $685,000 for a two-bedroom, $898,000 for a three-bedroom unit, and $984,000 for a three-bedroom premium

why strong take up rate is not price cheap or property revive...is just tat buys can own a condominium at affordable price, ... so it shows tat there are still investors and upgraders, ... waiting to buy at comfortable price

How many units sold?

I think there are less then 20 units left, and these are low floor units. I reckon at the end of today, it will be fully sold.

EC development will sell only if EC pricing is $200 - 250 less than adjacent private condo prices. Hence, the developer is smart to drop price just before the launch.

First and foremost, there are no adjacent condo around Lake Life, the closest is a DBSS. Secondly, the price discount is simply a marketing gimmick to generate buying interest BEFORE launch. Why this project is successful is purely because of its location as the people living around JLD area can obviously see what is coming in JLD.
And there is unlikely to be any more EC side around JLD.

My friend just brought a unit. Compare to other condo near JDL it is far more than 25 per cent cheaper.. So it is a good deal after all..

When fully privatized in 10 years, this project could potential become the most expensive EC in Singapore, surpassing Bishan.
By 2024 the entire JLD landscape will be very different. congrats to those who managed to get a unit at Lake Life.

why ask 10 yrs later? if it is much lower than the newly launch EC, then it is also a good buy, besides, don't need to wait till it privatized. and if you don't want to answer the question, then just keep quiet la....any problem??

The location sucks! Can't even compare to Bishan.

Location to town wise Bishan is 9 MRT stops to Raffles Place while Jurong East is 10 MRT stops to Raffles Place. Wonder why people say Bishan better location, is it because they have overpaid for their Bishan properties?

One advantage of Jurong East is it is 0 stop to the 2nd CBD :cheers1::cheers1:

Be rational...ha ha...
